Lantern Making Activity for Our Toddlers
As part of the Diwali celebrations, a Lantern Making Activity was conducted for the Kindergarten students. The activity aimed to introduce children to the cultural significance of Diwali and to encourage their creativity and fine motor skills.
The celebration began with the teacher explaining the importance of Diwali — the festival of lights — in simple and engaging words. Students enthusiastically shared how they celebrate Diwali at home. After the brief discussion, the teacher demonstrated the steps to make a colourful paper lantern using craft paper, glue, and decorative materials.
The little ones, guided by their teachers, joyfully created their own lanterns. The classroom was filled with excitement as students decorated their lanterns with sparkle, ribbons, and bright colours. Once completed, the lanterns were displayed in the classroom, adding a festive charm to the environment.
The activity not only helped children express their creativity but also taught them the value of light, joy, and togetherness. It was indeed a delightful and memorable experience for all.
