CBSE Capacity Building Programme for School Counsellors and Teachers
The CBSE Empowerment and Capacity Building Programme recently conducted a seminar at Delhi Public School (DPS) Tezpur, aimed at enhancing the awareness and counselling skills of school counsellors and teachers. The primary focus of this initiative was to underscore the importance of students’ well-being and mental health, equipping educators with the knowledge and strategies to address these crucial aspects effectively.
The seminar featured insightful discussions on anxiety in children, exploring its causes, symptoms, and effective management techniques. Experts provided practical approaches to help students navigate their emotions and develop healthy coping mechanisms. Additionally, the participants were briefed on the provisions of the POCSO Act, emphasizing the role of educators in safeguarding children’s rights and well-being.
Another key area of discussion was the evolving landscape of gender roles, highlighting the need for inclusive and empathetic understanding in schools.
