At DPS Tezpur, we believe in teaching children beyond the confines of classrooms. On 31st January, as part of their extended learning, we took students of classes 8 and 9 to the Missamari Army Camp for a unique educational experience under the program “Know Your Army.”

During this visit, students gained valuable insights into the valor and dedication of the Indian Army. They were thrilled to interact with the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Missamari Camp, who motivated them with inspiring words on tackling life’s challenges through the three D’s—Duty, Dedication, and Determination.

The students then explored various helicopters used by the Indian Army, including Light Combat Helicopters and Attack Helicopters. They learned about their components, functioning, and strategic importance. Their excitement reached new heights when they were allowed to touch and feel the aircraft, making for an unforgettable experience.

The visit continued to the Station Medical Center, where students witnessed firsthand how Army doctors serve and heal soldiers. They were given a demonstration on CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and learned how to provide artificial respiration and other life-saving techniques during emergencies.

This educational visit was truly an enriching experience, instilling inspiration and motivation in our students. We hope such initiatives encourage many of them to consider a future in the defense services, serving the nation with pride and honor.
