REPORT ON WORKSHOP ON EARLY MENTAL WELLNESS FOR TEACHERS

 

Introduction:

A workshop on Early Mental Wellness for Teachers was conducted on 29th March 2023 at Delhi Public School, Tezpur by Lt. Col. (Dr.) Rachit Sharma. The objective of the workshop was to provide our teachers with the necessary knowledge and skills to recognize, address, and support the mental health needs of our students from an early age.

Objective:

The primary objective of the workshop was to equip our teachers with the tools and strategies to promote positive mental health and well-being in the classroom, thereby creating a supportive and nurturing environment for our students.

  1. Understanding Early Mental Wellness: This session provided an overview of early childhood mental health and the importance of promoting positive mental health from a young age.
  2. Identifying Signs of Mental Health Issues: Teachers were trained to recognize early signs of mental health issues in children, including anxiety, depression, and behavioral disorders.
  3. Promoting Emotional Literacy: Strategies for promoting emotional literacy and resilience in young children were discussed, including teaching emotional regulation skills and providing a safe space for children to express their emotions.
